V&S Detroit Galvanizing Facility Tour and Presentation
Join us as we provide a concise overview of our galvanizing process and best practices for designing material to ensure safe, high-quality galvanizing. The presentation is approximately 20–25 minutes and is intended as a high-level introduction to what happens during our process.
The goal is to help you understand how we prepare steel for galvanizing, what occurs during each step, and why specific design considerations—such as proper venting and drainage—are critical for safety and coating quality. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of our process and the design requirements that support efficient, safe, and consistent galvanizing results.
The plant tour will help reinforce all these concepts as you can see them in action.
Learning Objectives:
- Overview of the steel galvanizing process.
- Design requirements to achieve successful galvanized steel products
