HARD ROCK STADIUM SHADE CANOPY ERECTION

This presentation will focus on the engineered solutions that enabled the safe and on-time erection of a 17,000+ ton structural steel canopy over the existing Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The presenter will discuss the innovative “no-shoring” erection method which employed a sequenced, balanced modular installation procedure; nonlinear staged construction analysis; the application of 3D modeling; temporary falsework; custom designed and fabricated lift frames; heavy lift engineering; on-site subassembly; multi-crane lifts; and cable installation and tensioning.

One hour of continuing education credit will be provided
